Lightspeed Champion Live at SXSW!!! [Jun. 13th, 2008|02:24 pm]
spreading the indie music love!

A colorful character of the likes we’ve never seen, Dev Hynes, a.k.a. Lightspeed Champion, brings his deliciously hooky, middle American folk to Domino Records’ SXSW Showcase.

Starky [May. 19th, 2008|12:40 pm]
spreading the indie music love!

I spent most of yesterday listening to an amazing sydney based band, Starky.

click for film clips...Collapse )

They made two fantastic album but split up early last year.

Anyone else know of any fantastic bands that ended well before they should have (The Libertines also spring to mind, but I adore DPT and shambles as well so it's not as bad as it could be...)?

Feel free to rec me some ex-groups you love!

The Satin Peaches [May. 9th, 2008|08:54 pm]
spreading the indie music love!

I was wondering if anybody here had heard of/likes The Satin Peaches.
I'm doing some work for them this month and have been given some free tickets to see them, I'm wondering what they're like.
I'm in the process of checking them out right now but I like to hear others opinions on bands as well so fire away.

Jeremy Jay [Apr. 27th, 2008|10:22 pm]
spreading the indie music love!

[Current Music |Jeremy Jay - Heavenly Creatures]

How about Jeremy Jay? His music is often described as dreamy, stream-of-consciousness and movie oriented. Indeed, it sounds as if it were a soundtrack for some retro film. I was very excited by this unusual sound, something absolutely new for me. And it makes a really cosy atmosphere around.
And it reminds me a bit of the Doors.
What we have now is "Airwalker" EP, released in November, two singles "We Were There" and "Alpha Rhythm", and the forthcoming album "A Place Where We Could Go" that is to be released in may, 20th.
